| RENTON, WA (April 13, 2006): Naverus, Inc. announced today that Steve Fulton, Chief Technical Officer and co-founder, was awarded the industry's prestigious 2006 Laureate Award for the company's work in performance- based navigation. The award, sponsored by Aviation Week & Space Technology, was presented April 7 at a ceremony held at The National Air & Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, VA. The Laurels were conceived 49 years ago to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of individuals and teams in aviation, aerospace and defense. Fulton was one of 53 individuals nominated in 7 categories. Friday's black tie dinner and awards ceremony is the industry's premier event, attracting scores of industry pioneers and thought leaders from around the world. This year, for the first time the winners of each category, the Laureates, were announced "live" at the event, where Aviation Week editors honored those who epitomize the values and visions of the global aerospace industry. Fulton accepted the award on behalf of his entire team at Naverus. "The revolution of performance-based navigation is finally here," he said. "We're pleased to be recognized as leaders of this transformation, and for our part in delivering the safety, access, efficiency, and capacity gains available from our cockpits today." He also cited the depth of skills across the Naverus team, which includes procedure designers, performance engineers, navigation data experts and a flight operations team of technical pilots, test pilots and flight instructors. |
